Sandbags locations for CT Alfred preparation

SANDBAGS have been made available for possible cyclone landfall at Raceview Council Depot, Briggs Road, Raceview, and Rosewood Council Depot, Mill Street, Rosewood.

Council will accept domestic quantities of green waste at these resource recovery centres for free until Friday, March 7, to help residents dispose of garden waste and branches that may become a hazard.

Meanwhile, Queensland Rail has said timetabled services are continuing to operate and it would keep customers informed via social media channels, its website and the TransLink Journey Planner.

Evacuation centres will not be announced until Cyclone Alfred approaches.

For assistance with a life-threatening situation phone Triple Zero immediately and for non-life-threatening situations – such as help with a damaged roof or storm damage – phone SES on 132 500.
