FAMILIES and youth programs will benefit from $50,000 in grants from Cleanaway’s New Chum Community Benefits Fund.
Recipients of the 2025 grants included Congolese United for Peace and Reconciliation in Australia Inc (CUPRA) which received $4,000 to cover uniforms, equipment, and field hire for a youth soccer program supporting 60 children aged 4-17 and also contributes equipment to 17 teams in Congo.
Goodness Enterprises Ltd was awarded $8,000 to expand food rescue operations.
Other recipients were Blackstone Soccer Club ($4,000) to replace training equipment lost in floods, Collingwood Park Power Football Club ($4,000) for canteen upgrades, Ipswich Force Basketball U14 Team ($4,000) for travel to the Queensland State Championships, and Redbank Plains State High School ($8,000) for learner driver support for Year 12 students.
