A 15ha parcel of land behind the Aboriginal Cemetery on Deebing Creek has been listed for sale.
Ray White Commercial has invited expressions of interest on the site bounded by the Centenary Highway and Deebing Creek at 2-54 Daleys Rd.
Expressions of interest close on March 9.
The land is marketed as a potential 151 lot development site.
The site is zoned future urban and recreation and comes under the State Government’s Ripley Valley Priority Development Area.
Despite the stalled development on the AV Jennings site, the Daleys Rd property markets the development as a selling point saying the adjoining site is “approved to develop a residential subdivision of 223 lots”.
“Within the Ripley Valley Priority Development Area, this site is situated in one of Australia’s fastest growing urban corridors,” the marketing states.
The State Heritage listed Mission site, which is being developed by Moremac, is surrounded by encroaching development with Stockland’s Paradise Waters estate on the other side of Grampian Drive, AV Jennings’ Deebing Springs on the other side of the Centenary Highway, Stockland’s Sovereign Pocket estate across from that and the new 2,300 home development Stockland Botanica behind the Mission site on a 252ha site to be developed over the next 10 to 15 years.
