Top of the range housing prices at Toowoomba

MIDDLE RIDGE: A four bedroom, three bathroom home in Daniells Close sold for $1.3 million in May. Described as a beautifully finished, luxury showpiece, the brick and granite home has detailing such as porcelain tiles, high ceilings and decorative cornice. It is located on a 963sqm landscaped block. An impressive entryway, soundproof media room, kitchen with large butler’s pantry, a master bedroom and guest bedroom with ensuites, and all three bathrooms have granite tops, quality tiles and tapware. Glass sliding doors open out to the outdoor entertainment area overlooking a magnesium swimming pool and fully fenced backyard. The property was last on the market in 2009 when it sold for $262,000

MOUNT KYNOCH: An architect designed eight bedroom, four bathroom home in Rosewell Crescent sold in April for $2.2 million. The home and self contained two bedroom guesthouse are located on a 1,1ha allotment. Features include a ‘gourmet’ kitchen with granite benchtops and large walk-in pantry, covered outdoor entertaining decks. A slow combustion fireplace and parquetry flooring in the formal lounge, a number of living spaces and high ceilings. The deluxe master suite has a designer ensuite and much of the outdoor area has been landscaped. The property last sold in 2007 for $135,000.

MIDDLE RIDGE: A four bedroom, two bathroom, architect designed home on an elevated allotment in Glencoe Court sold in May for $2.45 million. The home is on a 4,000sqm block and is surrounded by established and landscaped gardens with stone feature walls, spacious lawn areas and a variety of fruit trees. The master bedroom and ensuite and the remaining bedrooms are all located in a separate wing. There’s a media room, a number of living and entertaining spaces and a butler’s pantry off the kitchen. The property was last on the market in 2013 when it sold for $810,000.

PRINCE HENRY HEIGHTS: A six bedroom, three bathroom brick home in Jubilee Court sold for $1.037 million in May. Set on an easy care, landscaped 1,082sqm allotment overlooking the Lockyer Valley, the home has features such as a timber staircase, high ceilings, a galley kitchen, multiple living areas, Tasmanian oak flooring and a large master bedroom suite. There is internal wet weather access to the double lock up garage and plenty of under house storage. The property was last on the market in 2007 when it sold for $620,000.

EAST TOOWOOMBA: A circa 1910 Queenslander with four bedrooms and one bathroom in Curzon Street sold in June for $1.07 million. The spacious home has been renovated while retaining its period characteristics, has wrap around verandahs, 12 foot ceilings, polished timber floors, VJ walls, a Jarrah timber kitchen overlooking the large open plan living and dining area which flows out to the sizable all weather outdoor entertainment area. It was last on the market in 2020, when it sold for $830,000.

NORTH TOOWOOMBA: This four bedroom, two bathroom home in Moloney Street sold in March for $1.1 million. It features a blend of modern luxury with restored original character features. It is an elegant Queenslander home, set back off the street offering privacy on a spacious 1,290sqm allotment. High ceilings, VJ panelling prominently feature throughout the home. The master suite is generous in size with lots of storage and an elegant ensuite. An outdoor entertainment area overlooking an inground pool continues the feeling of space. The home was last on the market in 2014, when it sold for $555,000.

EAST TOOWOOMBA: This home in Curzon Street sold for $1.2 million in April. Located on a 1,163sqm allotment and boasting four bedrooms and three bathrooms, it is described by the agents as a classic Queenslander exuding the charm and character of a bygone era and the attractive facade features a classic colour scheme complemented by a fabulous front verandah. Its features include built-ins in the bedrooms, a master with ensuite and walk-in robe, a family bathroom with freestanding clawfoot bath, two distinct living spaces including a formal lounge plus a large open plan family room which leads to a covered outdoor deck that overlooks an inground pool. As a bonus, there’s a separate detached studio. The property was last on the market in 2013 when it sold for $800,000.

EAST TOOWOOMBA: A home in Wirra Wirra Street which sold for $1.2 million this year, sold for $945,000 in July 2021. The four bedroom, two bathroom residence has Blue Gum polished floors, high ceilings, a ‘gourmet’ kitchen with shaker doors and stone bench tops, built ins in the bedrooms and a master suite with ensuite and walk in robe. The open plan living and meals area leads out to a wraparound deck with sunblock blinds. The gardens are well established and there’s a 5,000 litre rainwater tank.

EAST TOOWOOMBA: In March this three bedroom, two bathroom home in Tourist Road sold for $2.3 million. The agents suggested that it was “a cute cottage that can be renovated to become a lovely home in a remarkable position”. It has timber floors, a sunroom, large living area and is located on an 860sqm block. The home was last on the market in 2006 when it sold for $374,000.

EAST TOOWOOMBA: A 1930s character home in Curzon Street sold for $1.3 million in March. The five bedroom, two bathroom home on a 1,202sqm was last on the market in 2000 when it sold for $135,000. The home has a mix of formal and open plan informal living areas with an east facing rear deck overlooking the solar heated inground swimming pool. There is dual car access with a three car detached garage, under house single garage and ample storage. It is heated from mains gas and cooled by ducted evaporative air conditioning.
