Value jumps in home sales in the last two decades

CHURCHILL: A three-bedroom, one-bathroom home on a 683sqm corner allotment beside Warwick Road sold for $445,000 in May. A half moon front porch, a hilltop location, opportunity for second access from Perry Road, a purpose built home office and spacious bedrooms are some of the features of the retro style home. The hardwood construction sits on concrete stumps. It sold in 2005 for $205,000.

ROSEWOOD: A three-bedroom, two-bathroom highset home in Rosewood’s main street sold last month for $493,000. The home on a 1,406sqm fenced block has a new roof, the ground level has a cement floor and has been converted into a rumpus room plus storage and there’s a covered front and back deck. The master bedroom has a walk in robe and there’s air conditioning in the living room as well as a fireplace.

YAMANTO: A four-bedroom, two-bathroom brick home in Oregon Close sold for $680,000 in late May. The home has a freshly painted interior, an air conditioned master bedroom with walk in robe and ensuite, a new kitchen and air conditioning in all the living areas. Outside on the 712sqm property there’s a covered alfresco dining area with weatherproof drop down blinds, landscaped gardens and a shed. The property sold in 2016 for $440,000.

SPRINGFIELD LAKES: A home boasting five bedrooms and three bathrooms in Lloyd Bird Crescent sold late in May for $932,000. The two-storey residence on a 660sqm block has a large formal lounge area, guest bedroom with two way ensuite, a big kitchen and pantry and other living areas on the ground floor. Upstairs there’s a study nook, the master bedroom and ensuite, three bedrooms and a family bathroom. The property sold in 2012 for $480,000.

LEICHHARDT: A renovated three-bedroom, one bathroom home in Aspinall Street sold for $400,000 in late May. The home on a 622sqm allotment has timber floors, high ceilings, a fireplace and generous sized bedrooms with built in robes. Outside the kitchen there’s a covered deck and inside there’s split system air conditioning. The property has a double carport. The property last sold in 2010 for $261,000.

NORTH IPSWICH: A renovated timber home with three bedrooms and one bathroom sold late in May for $440,000. The home dates back to 1900 and contains many original features. The 474sqm block hosts established gardens. Other features include a fireplace, an under-house double bay garage, a master bedroom with sunroom a deck and outdoor entertainment area. The property was last on the market in 2006 for $190,000.
