Residential home sales still a hot option for buyers

BUNDAMBA: Situated on a 1,133sqm block in Harold Street, the home recently sold for $435,000. The brick home has timber flooring under the current floor covers, three bedrooms, a bathroom, separate toilet and a laundry room. A timber deck at the back has stairs leading into the backyard. It was last on the market in 2014, when it sold for $200,000.

NEWTOWN: A three-bedroom, one-bathroom home on a 622sqm block in Rockton Street, sold this month for $640,000. The upper level has an open plan living room, dining room and generously appointed kitchen. The three bedrooms have ceiling fans and two have built in wardrobes. Downstairs from the kitchen is a sunroom overlooking the in-ground pool and private backyard. The landscaped block is fully fenced. The property last sold nearly 40 years ago for $50,000.

MOORES POCKET: This three-bedroom, one-bathroom, extensively renovated home in Boundary Street sold for $575,000, this month. The home has three large bedrooms on the upper level, a modern kitchen and bathroom, spacious lounge room, polished hardwood floors, air conditioning and front and rear deck. The lower level of the home has been converted to a studio/salon and offers the opportunity to run a home business. The laundry and heaps of storage space is also on this level. The home previously sold for $347,500 in 2018.

BUNDAMBA: Ogilvie Street is the address of a home which sold for $600,000 this month. It offers four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a third toilet on the lower of the split level design. Also on the lower level is a large lounge serviced by the formal dining room and fully renovated kitchen. Off the kitchen is a breakfast area and a spacious laundry. The upper level and the bedrooms, and bathrooms, including an impressive master suite, are accessed via timber stairs. The property last sold for $50,000 in 1984.

BARELLAN POINT: An eight-bedroom, four-bathroom home on a 3,736sqm allotment in Riverside Street sold for $850,000. Both the levels feature four bedrooms two bathrooms, a kitchen, living areas, air conditioning and a large deck. Outside there’s a concrete plunge pool, terraced and landscaped gardens, fencing, a powered shed and rainwater tanks. Another top feature are the river views. The property sold in 2013 for $384,000.

REDBANK PLAINS: A three-bedroom brick home in Knight Street was purchased for just over $481,000, this month. Selling agents noted the quality and size of the home, the multiple living areas for a large family, the well appointed and functional kitchen, and categorised the home as low maintenance. The interior had also been freshly painted. It last sold in 2018 for $325,000.
