Handsome home on the heights of Denmark Hill

The owners of a refurbished and renovated home near the top of Denmark Hill with views to parkland from the front and over Ipswich from the back deck have chosen to take their property to auction.

The 900 sqm property at 10 Chelmsford Avenue boasts a four bedroom, two bathroom residence which is at ground level on the street side and elevated at the rear.

The main bedroom has French doors opening into what is currently used as a study or could potentially be turned into a good sized ensuite and walk in robe. This second room has direct access to a small side deck which leads to the broad verandah at the back of the house.

There are also two other bedrooms on this level. The fourth bedroom is downstairs and has its own bathroom.

The underhouse space was created when the home was raised and restumped in 1988 and the ceilings are now at a legal living height. The laundry room is also at this level and the remaining underhouse space serves as a lock up garage and storage area.

The living, dining and sitting rooms at the front of the home are open plan and are warmed by a fireplace in Winter and cooled by an air conditioner in Summer. In fact, the home has multiple air conditioning units.

A central hallway opens out to a large living and meals area and in turn has double doors out onto the covered deck.

The kitchen beside the meals area has windows framing the view over Ipswich across the deck.

The property was once part of the Bellisvick Estate owned by Joseph Foote and subdivided in 1927.

The property has no existing development approvals but there is potential to subdivide the land.

The current owners have recently installed a new air conditioner in the lounge room, a new electric roller door motor, two skylights and a new hot water system.
